PS1, Game Cube(Twin snakes), PC
Platform(s) played on: PS1
ESRB: M for Mature
Genre: Stealth action
Concept: Epic 3D stelth shooter
Storyline:
Sometime in February 2005,
Solid Snake is forcefully called out of retirement by his old commanding officer Roy Campbell and given a new mission. Apparently, the Special Forces unit FOXHOUND and the Next Generation Special Force were conducting a training exercise on Shadow Moses Island in Alaska's Fox Archipelago when the unit suddenly revolted against the U.S. government. Their demands include the remains of the legendary mercenary Big Boss, and they threaten a nuclear strike within twenty-four hours if their demands are not met. Snake is given two objectives: first, to infiltrate the nuclear weapons disposal facility and rescue DARPA Chief Donald Anderson and Kenneth Baker, the President of ArmsTech. Secondly, he must stop the terrorists from launching a nuclear strike. Secretly, this is also to prevent FOXHOUND from making away with the first (known) American Government backed Metal Gear code named "Rex"
Graphics: the best I have ever seen for a PS1 game. 10/10
Sound: wow is all I can think of saying.
the Voice acting was awsome, especially David Hayter who voiced Solid snake and Paul Eiding as Roy Campbell.
the music was also awsome.
and not for the sound FX thay wher top notch. 10/10
Control: the best Control set up ever but I did have one problem at first but I quickly got over it.
(if you must know the problem I had was with the fact the "o" button was the action button & not the "X" button).
Gameplay: You must navigate Solid Snake through the game without being detected ? detection sets off an alarm, which draws armed enemies to you'r location. To return to a lower alert setting, the you must hide, and remain undetected by the enemy until a timer reaches zero(unless you'r in a boss fight).
My Say: one of the best PS1 game ever made and a must have for any one. I have looked at the remakes and thay also look good. even if you don't have a PS1 you should try to get eather the game for the Game Cube or the PC.
Overall Score: 10/10
